ACIG Board Member Yury Fedyukin Participates in 2015 Tax Policy Strokes Conference
Moscow hosted the annual business conference about tax policy strokes in 2015 and new trends in legislation and practical aspects of work. Yury Fedyukin, Member of the Board and Director of the Department for Legal and Fiscal Consulting at ACIG Group of Companies, participated in the discussion of changes in legislation that impacted the tax burden in 2015 and new trends of the fiscal policy.
Members of dedicated ministries and authorities, business associations, legal advisers and tax managers of large-scale corporations talked about the increasing tax burden, fiscal control, possible new fiscal loosening against the ongoing recession at two roundtable discussions.
Mr. Fedyukin named development of the case law in the absence of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation one of the most critical issues. “I believe that the fact that courts are starting to give out diametrically opposed judgments in tax disputes is one of the findings of this conference. While before the chance of winning a tax dispute used to be quite high, everything is becoming worse now. Nowadays, even the position that is directly based on the tax law provisions is not a guarantee for a positive judgment,” he said.
Mr. Fedyukin thinks that participation in this business conference is a perfect opportunity to exchange opinions with his colleagues regarding the ongoing changes, issues and trends in the field of taxation. He added that all issued that had been discussed at the conference are significant and critical here and now.
“This business conference is a kind of a ‘time check’. The event was interesting and clearly useful,” he said.
