ACIG Construction Business Successfully Completes Large-Scale Projects

Construction is one of the major businesses of ACIG Group of Companies. It acts as a general contractor in construction, overhaul and reconstruction of industrial, administrative and housing buildings and facilities. It supervises all project implementation phases from developing a business plan and design and survey works to commissioning relevant projects.

Summarizing the results of 2014, ACIG Construction business implemented 12 projects for construction and reconstruction of industrial and infrastructural facilities in such key areas as telecommunications, atomic and heat power as well as the projects by request of the Ministry of Defense. Nuclear and heat power plants, fiber optic lines for telecommunications as part of various IT and telecommunications projects are among the largest facilities where relevant works were performed.

ACIG experts performed their works at five nuclear power plants in Russia, namely, Kurskaya, Balakovskaya, Smolenskaya, Kolskaya and Leningradskaya NPP. Required documentation and feasibility studies for different kinds of activities were elaborated for resolving several energy efficiency-related problems from modernization of water-supply points to introduction of energy-efficient fans and elevators. Energy-saving light sources with automatic control and supervisory control of lighting were implemented at the power stations, heating networks were modernized, systems for weather-sensitive control at heating units were installed, and systems for water treatment at startup auxiliary boilers were installed according to the developed designs.

Energy efficient solutions were proposed for Kashirskaya, Pechorskaya and Gusinoozyorskaya state district power stations. Their lighting systems for buildings were completely modernized.

Fiber optic lines for telecommunications were run in Kaluga and Sergiev Posad; 110 municipal facilities, specifically, schools, libraries, administrations, hospitals, were connected to the corporate network in Kaluga region; required equipment was supplied for construction of fiber optic lines as part of some projects.

The projects executed by request of the Ministry of Defense were among the most significant ones for ACIG Construction business. Power supply systems were built on a turn-key basis and commissioned in Solnechnogorsk and Kubinka 2 of Moscow region for connecting the relevant power consumers.
