ACIG Consulting Completes Several Large-Scale Projects for Norilsk Nickel

Experts of the Department for Management Consulting at ACIG Consulting successfully implemented several projects by request of Norilsk Nickel. Reliability assessment with regard to the major power generation facility in the power system of the city of Norilsk, specifically, assessment of risks of unscheduled downtimes of relative equipment, is one of these projects. Regression analysis of the failure flow and the factors that may potentially impact fault cases was performed. As a result, the data that represent indications of the equipment wear and tear, operating conditions and the extent of technological impact were determined. A calculation module for assessment of failure risks in relation to power generating units at different amounts of financing of repair activities is the result of the works performed.

Development of the automatic model for calculating electrical and thermal energy balances is another project implemented for Norilsk Nickel. The task was to determine the sufficiency of capacities to satisfy the annual and peak requirements of electrical consumers. This module will be used for scenario analysis and procedures for making investment decisions optimal from the standpoint of mitigation of risks of deficient deliveries of goods.
