ACIG Experts Take Part in SPECA Economic Forum 2015
Economic Forum under UN Special Program for Economies of Central Asia was held in Dushanbe on November 9-10, 2015. The main topic of the Forum was “Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the SPECA region”.
Representatives of the Tajikistan government, UN ESCAP, UNECE, diplomatic corps and heads of member countries delegations took part in the Economic Forum. ACIG experts joined the participants during business events.
Speakers discussed different solutions of issues where regional cooperation is essential for progress: water recourses, environment, trade and connectivity. Participants also discussed intersectoral issues, such as gender inequality, innovation and statistics development.
SPECA Economic Forum is aimed to encourage the best practices exchange, capacity building, joint development and implementation of regional projects.
