Aleksey Shipov and Anton Chuklin of ACIG Speak at Roundtable Resources of Education for Regional Development

Joint project for development of polytechnic and technological education in the region was launched on 9 to 11 February 2015 in Perm. It was initiated by the Technopolis “New Stellar” of Perm region and the New Eurasia Foundation under the auspices of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia. They say the project will promote competitiveness of young people on the labor market.

Roundtable discussion, entitled Resources of Education for Regional Development, was held on 9 February at the event. Aleksey Shipov and Anton Chuklin, both Members of the Board at ACIG, participated in the discussion. Possible partnership scenarios for optimization of innovative development were considered during the discussion. This roundtable helped discover expectations and demands related to Perm region, discuss further cooperation with the educational programs of the foundation and determine the prospects for implementation of joint programs.

Mr. Shipov presented the Sustainable Future of Russia platform for young professionals established as a system for development of talented young people and aimed at shaping the talent pool and dialogue between the state, business and young people. Most promising young professionals join the platform; public authorities, higher-education institutions and business communities are showing ever more interest in it; its reach is growing.

Mr. Chuklin, Member of the Board at ACIG and Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, talked about versatile efforts by the Association in this field and emphasized the importance of joining forces of the academic community, authorities and business. Implementation of approaches to work that enable combining innovative, entrepreneurial and technical engineering education can actually promote innovative development of the Russian regions.

Roundtable participants reiterated their interest and willingness to cooperate in the field of innovative entrepreneurial and technological education on the school and secondary vocational education level based on partnership with business and industry.

Sustainable Future of Russia platform for young professionals was established at the initiative of ACIG Group of Companies and RANEPA in 2011.
