ACIG Group of Companies takes part in the Meeting of the members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia
On June 21, 2013, a General Meeting of the AIRR members took place within the framework of the Petersburg International Economic Forum. The event was opened by the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the AIRR Supervisory Board Sergei Naryshkin and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chairman of the AIRR Board Rustam Minnikhanov.
At the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov was reelected as the Chairman of the AIRR Board. Within the framework of the Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Agreement on Cooperation between the AIRR and State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) was signed by the Chairman of the AIRR Board Rustam Minnikhanov and the Chairman of Vnesheconombank Vladimir Dmitriev.
Throughout the year the experts of the Association took an active part in developing mechanisms for improving federal and regional legislation. At the joint meeting of the State Duma Committee on Science and High Technology and the AIRR in Dubna, the Protocol on Arrangement of Joint Work on Federal and Regional Legislation and Establishment of a Special Working Group on Legislation in Innovations under the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation was signed. Besides, the AIRR members took part in the work on the draft Law on Federal Contract System together with the State Duma Committees on Science and High Technology and on Economic Policy, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, RUSNANO JSC and ACIG.
Within the framework of strategic partnership between the Association and ACIG, the Member of the ACIG Board Yuri Fedyukin took part in the AIRR General Meeting.
Following the meeting, it was unanimously resolved that the Altai Krai should be included in the AIRR. The region has become the 13th member of the Association. Today it includes the following regions: Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Samara, Ulyanovsk and Lipetsk Regions; the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Republic of Mordovia; Krasnoyarsk Krai and Perm Krai.
