ACIG participates in the 7th Annual International Contest "Open Russia: Strategies of New Reality"
On March 5, 2013, the 7th Annual International Congress "Open Russia; Strategies of New Reality" in the World Trade Centre. Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Georgy Petrov acted as a moderator of the event.
To discuss the prospects of Russian economic developments in the WTO were invited the following persons: Public Ombudsman of the Russian Federation for Small and Medium Business Support Viktor Ermakov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Yuri Roslyak, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Igor Rudensky, Director of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Vladimir Maltsev, Chairman of the Committee for Promoting International Trade of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Andrei Spartak, Head of the International and Regional Department of JSC World Trade Centre Oleg Sazanov.
Measures, introduced by the Government for adaptation of economic branches to the conditions of Russia’s participation in the WTO, are one of key items on the Congress agenda. Legal regulations for business and power interaction and creation of favorable investment climate within the framework of road maps implementation were also discussed at the Congress.
In their report, ACIG experts noted that adaptation of Russian economy to the new conditions requires system and coordinated work of all branches of power, business circles and public organizations. Economy modernization and enhancement of business climate on a mid-term horizon will enable Russia to take up more advantageous positions in the system of international labour division, to enhance investment attractiveness of the market and endorse the road maps – it is the first step on the way to Russia’s congenial investment climate.
