ACIG participates in the International Conference “Economic Cooperation of SCO Countries”

On November 26, 2012, the International Conference “Economic Cooperation of SCO Countries” took place in the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation.  

At the plenary sessions, the participants discussed basic development trends of the economic contacts within the SCO, financial, banking, energy, transport and logistics aspects of cooperation, as well as providing expert and analytic support of the decisions.

Representatives of the SCO Interbank Association, SCO Business Council, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ministry of External Affairs of the Russian Federation and Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation were invited to discuss political and economic processes of the SCO countries. At the invitation of the SCO Business Council, ACIG experts also participated in the work of the conference.

ACIG experts believe that implementation plan of the Program of comprehensive trade and economic cooperation of SCO countries is a prerequisite for promotion and intensification of good neighbourly relations, mutual trust and friendship between member countries, strengthening security and stability in the region, contributing to joint development. It was also emphasized that further enhancing integration processes in economic, social, cultural and liberal sectors of the SCO countries, fulfilling huge potential of unity and cooperation through mutual respect and trust among the countries, belonging to different civilizations, which are the bearers of different cultural traditions.
