ACIG takes part in the All-Russia Forum “Energy Efficient Russia – 2012”

On November 12, 2012, timed to the International Energy Saving Day, the All-Russia Forum “Energy Efficient Russia – 2012” took place in the building of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE).

The organizers and partners of the forum are the RUIE Committee on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency, National Energy Saving Union, Russian Gas Society, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), “RusHydro” JSC and “Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center” JSC.

The Forum enabled the representatives of business sector, authorities and population to establish a constructive dialog, elaborate solutions for the existing problems in the field of energy saving, identify priority vectors of the sector’s development and attract public attention to the issues of energy efficiency.

Leonid Roketsky, Chairman of the Research and Expert Council of the Council of Federation Working Group on Monitoring the Application of Federal Law No.261-FZ dated November 23, 2009 “On Energy Saving and Increasing Energy Efficiency” and the President of the National Energy Saving Union, Aleksandr Murychev, Executive Vice-president of the RUIE, Valentin Mezhevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Federation Committee on Economic Policy, Vasily Tarasuk, First Deputy of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Andrei Romanchuk, Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Saving Union, Yury Stankevich, Deputy Chairman of the RUIE Committee on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency, Viktor Zelenkevich, Deputy Director General of Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Vadim Zazimko, Head of Expert Group on Energy Efficient Project Financing Of the RUIE Committee on Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency made speeches at the Plenary meeting.   

The key topics of the Forum were:

  • State policy in the field of energy saving and enhancement of energy efficiency;
  • The role of regions in formation of legislative initiatives in the field of energy saving and enhancement of energy efficiency;
  • Funding projects in the field of energy saving: Russian and foreign experience, challenges and solutions;
  • Energy saving in housing and utilities sector;
  • Use of gas-engine fuel as a mechanism of cost saving and transport ecologization;
  • Heat – and water supply in the regions of the Russian Federation;
  • International energy management standards.

The official ceremony of awarding the winners of the All-Russia Award “Energy Efficient Russia – 2012” also took place at the Forum.

Director of ACIG Energy Consulting Department Maksim Ageev took an active part in the Forum and presented his report on international energy management standards: “Energy Management: Potential and Methods of Implementation”. Deliberation on the key issues of his presentation laid the foundation of the efficient discussion. Following this discussion, the members of the professional and business community could take a common stand on application of modern energy management approaches and innovation methods in the Russian industry.
