A.Shipov, Member of the ACIG Board, takes part in the program "Formula of Events" on the TV channel "Podmoskovie"

On March 15, Member of the ACIG Board Aleksei Shipov participated in the program "Formula of Events" as an expert. This program’s topic was State and Business relationship.

In his speech, Aleksei Shipov noted that productive cooperation of State and Business is a prerequisite for solving the most important social and economic tasks the society faces. Nowadays, State and Business have come to full understanding of the advantages from the mutually beneficial cooperation and are ready for an open dialogue. A.Shipov believes that the process of the parties’ gradual movement towards each other is an important condition of enhancing the country’s competitiveness in general.

During the talk, various aspects of the State-Business relationship were touched upon. A.Shipov expressed his opinion on lobbyism. In particular, he remarked that lobbyism as a civilized dialog between authorities and business allows to come to reasonable decisions on the basis of congruence of the parties’ interests. But informal or shadow lobbyism and corruption are negative and illegal phenomena, eroding credibility to the representatives of government and business structures. That is why a systems approach to forming an institute of lobbyism is so extremely important in Russia.  

When talking about the oligarchy problem, Aleksei Shipov stressed that the time when the interests of some people did not coincide with the society’s interests, is almost gone. Nowadays, business sticks to the principles of social responsibility. At the same time, the entrepreneurs see social responsibility not as a fashionable phenomena, but an integral part of sustainable development strategy, providing the best business employees: "Ask students and post-graduates, where they want to work. The will name companies engaged in global full-scale social work". As an example of successful social initiative, Aleksei Shipov named annual Contest "Russia’s Sustainable Future" aimed at comprehensive support of students and postgraduates.
