ACIG experts take part in the discussion of the Energy Strategy 2035
The draft Energy Strategy of Russia till 2035 was discussed on February 17 at the Analytical Centre under the Government of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Aleksei Tesler presented the key provisions of the ES 2035 projects. The new document will contain a significantly broadened list of priority tasks for development of certain industries: provisions on development of internal energy infrastructure will be added, as well as on increasing availability and quality of energy goods and services, on introduction of sustainable development principles in energy companies management and state regulation of the sector.
Among the experts who discussed the new Energy Strategy were the representatives of public authorities, major Russia’s fuel and energy companies and leading research organizations. The experts of ACIG Group of Companies took part in the meeting upon the invitation of the Chairman of the Committee for Energy Policy and Energy Efficiency of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Vagit Alekperov.
"Introduction of timely adjustments to a long-term document is a prerequisite for effective and high-quality modernization of the national fuel and energy sector. Counting on innovations taking into account the new forecast of the global economic and energy sector development is becoming the priority growth track. The updated document will define long-term goals both for big players of the sector and small and medium-sized businesses and significantly harmonize their activities with the global trends of the global economic development," the experts of the ACIG Group of Companies noted.
The discussion of the Energy Strategy 2035 will continue in the format of local meetings and the finalized version of the document will be presented at the meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation on May 8, 2014.
