The goal of the competition is to provide comprehensive support to young specialists oriented at Russia’s sustainable future, strengthen innovation and socially-oriented culture and develop a training system.
The competition is traditionally organized by ACIG and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The general partner of the competition in 2012 is Unilever. Due to the fact that implementation of Russia’s strategic goals demands new approaches and solutions for a number of challenges, including public sector efficiency, social development and environmental safety, in 2012, the organizers of this event selected the following topics for the competition:
1. Increasing quality and accessibility of public services;
2. Development of public institutions as a prerequisite condition for Russia’s sustainable development;
3. Development of the concept of general accepted and/or alternative methods for waste utilization in the Russian Federation (among others in legislation, required infrastructure etc.).
During the preliminary round of the Competition, the Steering Committee received 230 applications from students and postgraduates from 111 Russian universities. Nine participants came through to the final.
