On January 19, direct transmission from the Solemn Award Ceremony for the Winners of the Contest “Russia’s Sustainable Future” to be broadcasted
Today, on the final day of the Gaidar Forum, award ceremony for the finalists of the contest "Russia’s Sustainable Future" will take place.
As always, organizers of the contest are ACIG Group of Companies and Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Unilever acts as general partner of the Contest-2012.
The contest is aimed at comprehensive support of the younger generation towards Russia’s sustainable future, strengthening innovation and social-oriented culture, developing personnel training.
In view of Russia’s strategic purposes, demanding new approaches and ways of addressing various problems, including public sector effectiveness, social sphere development and ensuring environmental safety, in 2012, the organizers of the event defined the following themes of the contest:
- Enhancing quality and availability of state services;
- Developing public institutions is a condition for Russia’s sustainable development;
- Developing a concept of generally adopted and/or alternative methods to address the problem of waste reclamation in the Russian Federation (including those in legislation and necessary infrastructure, etc.).
During preliminary rounds, the Organizing Committee of the contest received more than 230 applications for participation from students and post-graduates from 111 Russian institutions of higher education. 9 participants made it to the final round.
Laureates of the contest were determined by the Central Contest Commission consisting of Vladimir Mau, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Viktor Tolmachev, Chairman of the ACIG Supervisory Board, Aleksandr Ivlev, Managing Partner for Russia in Ernst & Young, Sanjiv Kakkar, President of Unilever in Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus, Aleksei Komissarov, Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the Moscow City Government, Yuri Udaltsov, Director for Innovation Development of RUSNANO JSC, Oleg Fomichev, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
