On September 1, a solemn opening ceremony dedicated to the start of a new academic year took place at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
Within the framework of the official ceremony, the representatives of state authorities, public organizations as well as business structures addressed the first year students of the RPANEPA. The participants of the solemn ceremony were: President of the Moscow Exchange, OJSC Ruben Agabenyan, Managing Partner of Ernst & Young for Russia Aleksandr Ivlev, First Deputy Head of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation Sergey Kovalev, Research advisor of the Business Incubator InCube of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Aleksey Komissarov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and former pro-rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Aleksandr Klimov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Mansurov, Vice-president of the Skolkovo fund Stanislav Naumov, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Civil Service and Personnel Directorate Sergey Savchenko, Chairman of the ACIG Supervisory Board of Viktor Tolmachev and Director General of the company ”Cotton Way” Aleksandr Utkin.
In his opening speech, Rector of RPANEPA Vladimir Mau congratulated the students with the beginning of their studies at one of the leading higher educational institution of the country: “The Academy is the leader in the sphere of management training in Russia. The majority of Russian state and municipal civil servants are graduates of the Academy”.
Chairman of the ACIG Supervisory Board Viktor Tolmachev emphasized special attitude towards cooperation with the Russian Presidential Academy: “Keeping in practice to the concept of social responsibility of business, we will provide comprehensive support to the Academy towards development of the personnel potential in Russia. Many ACIG top managers completed educational programs of the RPANEPA and they find practical application to the received knowledge on a daily basis. Being aware of the training level of the specialists inside the walls of the Academy, we will always be glad to see its graduates in the united team of the ACIG employees”.
In turn, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Mansurov brought out that in his opinion the main obstacle for the country’s economic developments a deficit of highly qualified personnel. He also emphasized that the Academy is solving this problem successfully.
Ernst & Young Country Managing Partner for Russia Aleksandr Ivlev accentuated: “In the Academy applied skills are taught – teamwork, decision-making and presentation abilities as well as many others, which other higher education institutions are so far unable to provide”.
President of the Moscow Exchange, OJSC Ruben Agabenyan addressed the students with the words of encouragement. He wished the young people “to enjoy their studies and above all to learn how to study”.
All the invited guests complimented on the RPANEPA’s high education quality of and wished good luck to all the students in new academic year.
Following the speeches of the guests of honor, Vladimir Mau, on behalf of the Russian Presidential Academy, expressed gratitude to Viktor Tolmachev and Aleksandr Utkin for their major personal contribution to the development of the Academy.
At the conclusion of the event, the Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration cut the red ribbon and officially opened the new academic year. Within the framework of the entertainment program amateur groups of the Academy performed in front of the guests.
