Representatives of ACIG Group of Companies participate in the work of the Russian-Afghan intergovernmental commission
On September 2-3, 2013, in the city of Kabul, capital of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the second meeting of the Russian-Afghan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation took place. Representatives of ACIG Group of Companies participated in the work of the commission.
In the course of bilateral meetings, the negotiations with the Deputy Minister of Higher Education of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan B.Sidiki on establishing relations between Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Kabul Polytechnic University were held. After that, the meeting with Deputy Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan M.Sami took place, during which the high-level negotiating parties discussed possible forms of participation of Russian companies in the implementation of the project aimed at reclamation of the river Pyandzh, envisaging building a chain of 14 power plants with installed capacity from 250 MW to 4 GW, with joint production of 86.3 billion kWh electric power a year.
In the course of negotiations, the parties took a favourable view of the development of political and economic relations between Russia and Afghanistan, confirming mutual aspiration to strengthen and deepen these relations.
