Representatives of ACIG Group of Companies took part in Moscow International Energy Forum “Fuel and Energy Sector of Russia in the 21st Century” on April 05

The first day within the framework of a business program of Moscow International Energy Forum “Fuel and Energy Sector of Russia in the 21st Century” (MIEF-2012) work was held in “Manezh”, Central Exhibition Hall on April 5, 2012. The program of the day included an opening ceremony of the “Fuel and Energy Sector of Russia in the 21st Century” exhibition, “World Energy and Sustainable Development in the 21st Century: Tendency, Challenges, and Strategies” plenary session, three international conferences, and one round table. 

ACIG Group of Companies representatives - Maksim Ageev, Director of Energy Consulting Department of ACIG Group of Companies and Dmitry Lopatin, expert of Energy Consulting Department of ACIG Group of Companies took an active part in the Forum work.   

At the beginning of the plenary session, A.I. Bedritsky, climate advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, member of the Organization Committee of MIEF-2012 and V.E. Mezhevich, Co-Chairman of the Organization Committee of MIEF-2012 announced the Welcoming Speech of D.A. Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation and V.I. Matvienko, Chairman of the Counsel of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to the Forum participants.      

A.P. Epishov, chief analyst of MIEF acted as the Forum plenary session moderator. Within the framework of the session held, a wide range of the most topical issues on the Russian Federation economy development was discussed, missions of the authority representatives, expert and business communities in relation to the realization of the program for the sustainable development of the Russian Federation were announced. Participants of discussion with A.I. Bedritsky, climate advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, S.N. Bobylev, academician of the RAS, A.N. Dmitrievsky, Director of the Oil and Gas Research Institute RAS, T.V. Ivanov, director of the Federal State Budget Institution “Russian Energy Agency”, Yu.A. Lipatov, first deputy of the Chairman of the Energy Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, T. D. Williamson, Chairman of the Board of Directors, G. Lamont, head of Honeywell Corporation for the countries of Europe, Middles East, and Africa, A.V. Kazachenkov, deputy Chairman of the Board of FGC UES JSC, and А.N. Likhachyov, director general of MOEK JSC, among them, paid special attention to the task of formation of the legal financial support mechanisms of business investment in energy efficient technologies. 

The round table named “Problems of Energy Efficiency in Russia” with А.V. Konev, director for innovations of the Federal State Budget Institution “Russian Energy Agency” and М.М. Solovyev, director of the Union of Self-Regulation Organizations in the Energy Study Field as moderators was also devoted to energy efficiency, one of the key topics of the Forum.   

Heads of the key subdivisions of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, representatives of the major energy companies as well as the leading experts in energy saving field, enhancement of energy efficiency and energy management took part in the round table work.

The problems of improvement of a normative legal base, necessary to ensure the sustainable development of energy and industry were discussed at the round table; plans for financing of concessional lending were announced and the issues of a low level quality energy certificates as well as the necessity of toughening the requirements to SRO and energy study organizations were discussed.

Speakers also paid much attention to the necessity of improvement of mechanisms for the formation of regional programs for energy efficiency enhancement and control over the tariffs’ level regulation.

A special place within the round table was given to the discussion of the matters connected with the prospects of energy management systems’ development at enterprises based on the requirements of the international standard ISO 50001:2011. 

Maksim Ageev, Director of Energy Consulting Department of ACIG Group of Companies devoted his report “Energy Management Practice based on the International Standard ISO 50001:2011: Implementation, Operation, and Development” to the consideration of management mechanisms being the base of the effective energy management system. In his speech he proposed promising measures and an approach to building up a system of management responsibility aimed at the sustainable operation and improvement of energy management systems.

The reports of a number of other experts announced confirmation of efficiency of implementation of energy management systems as well as demonstrated the convincing practical results shown in the resource and finance expressed.

A lively discussed within the framework of the round table “Problems of Energy Efficiency in Russia” became on the most important events of the main day of the Forum work.
