Opening ceremony if the First Presidential Academy Autumn Campus takes place

On November 11, the opening ceremony of the first "Presidential Academy Autumn Campus: Development of Entrepreneurial Skills" took place at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The event takes place under the auspices of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the City of Moscow, Moscow Government and the State Budgetary Institution "Small Business of Moscow".

The event started with the welcoming addresses to the participants of the Autumn Campus by the Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Ivan Fedotov, Director of the RANEPA’s Krasnogorsk Branch Dmitry Kaisin, Member of the Board of the ACIG Group of Companies Alexey Shipov and assistant professor of the Department of Humanities of the RANEPA’s School of Public Policy Sergei Golubev.

In his welcoming speech Ivan Fedotov told the students: "Following the results of the Campus you will obtain certain knowledge, first of all in teambuilding. You need to use this chance to the full to get special knowledge, expertise, reveal your leader’s qualities and strengthen business and personal contacts while solving common project tasks."

The educational forum is aimed at developing entrepreneurial competences and improving practical skills for strategic development of the existing and new business-projects. Director of the RANEPA’s Krasnogorsk Branch Dmitry Kaisin underlined the importance of holding this Campus, noting that "entrepreneurial spirit and ability to change environment is an important competence almost for everybody in today’s world."

The structure of the training program consists of the two parallel blocks dedicated to innovative and social entrepreneurship correspondingly. The Dean of the Innovative Youth Entrepreneurship Department Alexey Shipov told the participants about the educational program allowing the students to learn the algorithm for developing innovative ideas, a number of marketing technologies, methods for establishing internal communication and client relation and the ways of effective project presentation. Speaking about organization of educational process the Dean told about holding a facilitating session aimed at developing the most promising youth business ideas.

Sergei Golubev – the Dean of the Department of Social Entrepreneurship – noted education and health care were among the high-return businesses connected with innovative solutions. "At the stage of cross-fertilization we can actively move towards achieving your common goals," he added.

The Campus provides a unique educational platform which is a joint initiative of the RANEPA and the ACIG Group of Companies. Two "Summer Campuses of the Presidential Academy: Territory of Opportunities" took place in 2012 and 2013 in Kazan under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. About 600 students from the Academy’s branches, universities of the Republic of Tatarstan and participants of the competition "Sustainable Future of Russia" took part in them.

200 students and young entrepreneurs from Moscow will attend the educational program of the first Autumn Campus. Following the 5-days work the teams will present their own start-up projects to the jury.
