"Strategic Areas of Fuel and Energy Sector" - a new issue of Strategy Journal
As part of its media business, ACIG Group of Companies has launched a new issue of its electronic Strategy Journal (No. 11(3), August 2013).
This issue is devoted to the raising of competitive advantages of the national energy sector in the international energy sources markets. Today modernization of the fuel and energy sector is driven by innovative challenges, global economic agenda and expansion of the segment of non-conventional resources. Implementation of this policy is inseparably connected with the establishment of conditions for the country’s sustainable development and a favourable environment for the further generations.
Among the topics of the new Strategy Journal are the outlook for development of alternative energy sources, evaluation of scenarios for introduction of natural-gas-based motor fuel, transformation of domestic power grid, Russia’s energy strategy in the Asian-Pacific region and enhanced safety of atomic industry facilities.
The publication also covers long-term programs initiated by the President and the Government of the Russian Federation including the planned adoption of new laws and by-laws aimed at modernization of the energy sector’s structure. Among them is "Russia’s Energy Strategy till 2030", "Strategy for Social and Economic Development of the Far East and the Baikal Region till 2025", as well as the practical application of the Federal Law "On Electric Power Industry" (FZ-35), Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No.449 "On Mechanism of Facilitating the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in the Electric Energy and Power Wholesale Market" and several other enactments.
Among the experts of this issue are: First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy Yuri Lipatov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Deputy Director of the Russian APEC Study Center Gleb Ivashentsov, Professor of the Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University, Executive Vice-President of New Tech Services Valery Bessel and Senior Research Fellow of the Gaidar Institute of Economic Policy Sergei Zhavoronkov.
