The fourth international educational forum Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy opened at Kazan ski resort in the Republic of Tatarstan. It has been organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of ACIG Group of Companies.

Solemn opening ceremony attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, Sberbank President German Gref, Minister of Communications and Mass Media of Russia Nikolay Nikiforov, Chair of the Supervisory Board and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Viktor Tolmachev was held on 14 July.

Chair of the Russian State Duma and Academic Adviser Sergey Naryshkin wished the Campus participants new remarkable experience, belief in themselves, and never resting on their laurels in his video address to them. “The main objective is to help you, talented promising young people from different Russian regions and abroad, show your worth. You are all members of a new generation of intellectual elite. And it is extremely important for you to establish amicable contacts. I am confident that they will be of use for you,” he said.

Vladimir Mau welcomed 220 students from 27 regions of Russia and eight counties participating in the Campus and reminded that both Innopolis and Summer Campus were launched in 2012. He announced the topic of the 2015 forum: Territory of Opportunities. Ideas. Values. Knowledge. “We believe that the Campus students will lay a foundation for their future cooperation,” he said.

“Innopolis is a federal-level institution, and it needs professionals like you,” Mr. Minnikhanov said, adding that holding this Campus is a great honor for Tatarstan.

Mr. Nikiforov said that “our country is offering ever more opportunities” and urged the students to use them.

“The Campus gives you an opportunity to unlock your potential. Look for your place in the world and explore it,” Mr. Tolmachev said, bidding god-speed to the students.

The ceremony continued with Mr. Gref’s lecture about the significance of new technologies, development, success essentials and basic principles for future professionals. He emphasized that technologies play the key role in everything that we do and that they should not be underestimated as our competitiveness depends on this. Mobile web is number one on the list of technologies to develop with the highest intensity. “This is a great challenge, and we have to be ready for daily changes,” he said. Major principles that can be used for evaluation of professionals were highlighted, namely, professional knowledge, managerial training, psychological profile, and––above all––conformity with relevant corporate culture.

“Summer Campus is yet another weighty indication that the Academy indeed exists,” Mr. Mau emphasized, summarizing the results of the event. The solemn opening ceremony ended with raising the flag of the Academy.

AMS Communications Group developed the website of the Summer Campus and maintains it.
