Summer Campus Closes in Tatarstan

Kazan ski resort hosted the closing ceremony of the Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy where its results were summarized on 24 July. Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Government of the Republic of Tatarstan have been organizing the event on a regular basis with the support of ACIG.

RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, Coca-Cola Russia General Manager Ljubo Grujić, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime-Minister of Tatarstan and Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Engel Fattakhov, RANEPA Vice-Rector Ivan Fedotov and others participated in the ceremony.

Summer Campus 2015 assembled the best students from RANEPA and its branch institutions and other Russian and foreign higher-education institutions who successfully qualified in a strict selection process among other 3,000 candidates this year.

The students mastered a program rich in knowledge during this time. They developed and then presented their projects. The topic of this year’s Campus is Territory of Opportunities: Ideas. Values. Knowledge. Tutors and moderators assisted them with their activities. The students were split into 14 teams and developed their projects of future states, singled out education, responsibility, development, empathy, ecology, culture, innovations, nature, family, freedom, safety, self-development, knowledge, social responsibility, tolerance and leadership as the core values of the state of the future. They also were offered an opportunity to listen to lectures by the heads of the top-tier Russian and foreign companies, high-ranked officials, scientists and creative specialist and famous business coaches.

Rector Mau opened the ceremony and said that the Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy is one of the best projects of RANEPA initiated by its students on their own. “We all had it hard during the Campus, but I wish your lifestyle shaped during this Campus would continue in your daily life so you could feel comfortable with those near you as it was here,” he said, thanking the participants.

“Tatarstan is a dynamic region, and training of eligible professionals is a number one priority for us,” Mr. Fattakhov joined the welcoming words and congratulated everyone on the successful completion of the Campus. He wished the students the Campus would become a good start for them for their further achievements.

“We work very closely with RANEPA, and the Summer Campus is a good example of such cooperation. We are pleased with this and strive for cooperation in other fields, too,” Mr. Grujić then took the floor, saying that while he has studying at Harvard University, he participated in a campus like this one and he cannot see much of a difference between these two. “For these 11 days, you have been living in the environment of energy and friendship,” he appealed to the students and recommended the students think not only about achieving their personal goals and the goals of their respective companies, but also be of use for the society.

Mr. Fedotov wished the students would continue to develop with the same pace as they did during the Campus and thanked the organizers and the tutors.

The tutors and moderators said their parting words to the students. They shared their impressions with the students in their supervised groups. The tutors were impressed with the creativity and the smarts of the students this year. They received electronic books with a special collection of ebooks related to the topic of the Campus as presents. Tutor team leader Evgeny Mironov said that the end of the Campus is always a beginning for something new for the students. From the past experience, participants of the Campus tend to continue to interact and shape their common ideas.

Each of the members of the winning team that presented the best project will receive a discount for studying at any master’s program in RANEPA as a prize.
