Solemn diploma delivery ceremony for graduates with honors degrees at RANEPA

A solemn diploma delivery ceremony for graduates (class of 2016) with bachelors’ and specialists’ honors degrees took place on July 13 at the Presidential Academy. The event was attended personally by the chairman of the State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin. The graduates were personally congratulated by RANEPA Rector, Vladimir Mau, and members of the Academy’s Board of Trustees.

At the opening of the ceremony Vladimir Mau noted that this is day is important both for the graduates, and for their parents. RANEPA Rector thanked Sergey Naryshkin who traditionally attends this ceremony for many years. "Everyone has to fulfill obligations. For example, students should receive good marks," addressed Vladimir Mau to the graduates. "I am glad you have received Bachelor’s degrees," he added. Rector urged the graduates to continue education in order to receive a Master's degree. Rector also recalled broad possibilities after the Master’s degree at RANEPA: "You know that you can enter the Academy at any age, so invite not only friends, but also parents."

Sergey Naryshkin, the chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Russian federation at the State Duma, the chairman of the Board of Trustees at RANEPA, greeted all participants of the event, saying: "I want to sincerely congratulate the graduates with the brilliant results – the honors degrees. It is a great pleasure for me to present you with these important documents for your lives."

 Sergey Naryshkin drew attention to the increasing necessity for highly qualified young professionals in the modern world. "Your strong knowledge is a reliable basis, the so-called "keychain", that can open doors at different stages of your professional career," said the chairman of the State Duma at the ceremony. In his opinion, energy, the responsibility for Russia’s fortune, as well as good education will help to achieve success in their careers: "You have already achieved a lot. You received not only strong knowledge, but also achieved success in science, public life and sport." Sergey Naryshkin recommended appreciating their individuality, honor and reputation, and wished the RANEPA graduates success in careers and in their lives.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Board of Trustees of the Academy, including RAS academician, Director of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of Russian Academy of Sciences, Alexander Dynkin. Chairman of Supervisory Board at ACIG Group of Companies, Victor Tolmachev, wished the graduates to fulfill themselves in all areas of life. "Time is running fast. You can come back to the Academy that has already become your second home," Victor Tolmachev said. Executive Secretary of the Board of Trustees at RANEPA, CEO at Cotton Way, Alexander Utkin, wished the graduates to continue to improve their skills. He recommended learning from those who have already achieved success, as well as continue to be creative, seeking new meanings of work.

"It is not work to present you with honors degrees, but a great pleasure. I sincerely congratulate you once again. It is a new and important stage of your lives. I wish you every success!’’ Sergey Naryshkin said at the end of the event. 337 graduates of the Moscow RANEPA campus and 900 representatives of the Academy’s branches all over the country received honors degrees this year. 84 graduates with best results not only in studies, but also science and social life, were invited to Moscow from the branches of the institute.
