21th World Petroleum Congress

The 21th World Petroleum Congress will take place on June 15–19 in Moscow. About 5000 delegates will attend the event, including ministers and heads of the key organizations of the industry from 90 countries. Experts of the AKIG Group of Companies will also take part in the Congress.

The main topic of the event is "Responsibly Energising a Growing World", the participants of the Congress will discuss the major trends in the global oil and gas industry.

According to the President of the World Petroleum Council Renato Bertani, open discussion platforms, sharing new ideas and presenting reports on the latest technologies will help to formulate responses to acute problems, as well as to allow controlling the implementation of social and environmental programs in future. Renato Bertani is sure that the 21st World Petroleum Congress will be a milestone in the history of the oil and gas industry and will create a platform for constructive dialogue and multilateral cooperation aimed at the development of the world economy.

By tradition, the World Petroleum Exhibition expecting 20000 visitors will be held at the same time with the Congress.

World Petroleum Congress is initiated by the international non-profit organization World Petroleum Council, which includes 66 member countries. The first Congress was held in London in 1933 and was attended by 830 delegates from 35 countries. Moscow hosted the 8th World Petroleum Congress in 1971.
