ACIG joins the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation

On September 24, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation on the issues of membership in the CCI of the Russian Federation took place. During discussion of the organizations that were possible candidates for the membership in the CCI of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the ACIG Supervisory Board Victor Tolmachev made a short presentation, emphasizing high importance of the role of the CCI of the Russian Federation for successful communication between the State and the business community.

In his speech Mr. Tolmachev identified the main priorities of ACIG as a member of the CCI of the Russian Federation and specified the near-term tasks with account of the current international agenda and processes within the country. Particularly, the report dwells upon the fact that ACIG fully shares responsibility for achieving statutory goals of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and is ready to add its experience in developing economics of the Russian Federation, its integration into the world economic system, concentrating its efforts on  the activities of the Committee for Economic Integration of SCO and CIS Member States, Committee for Power Strategy and Development of Fuel and Energy Complex and Committee for Modernization and Technological Development of Russia's Economy.

In turn, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Aleksander Rybakov remarked that the most important strategic work field of the CCI of the Russian Federation is increasing social responsibility of entrepreneurship as one of the main factors of sustainable development of business, improving its business reputation, establishing effective and balanced relationships with the authorities and local communities.   

In follow-up of the meeting, the members of the Board of Directors of the CCI of the Russian Federation voted unanimously for making ACIG a member of the CCI of the Russian Federation.
