ACIG participates in the International Research Conference "Integration Processes in the Eurasian Space: Potential, Prospects and Development"

On March 5, the International Research Conference "Integration Processes in the Eurasian Space: Potential, Prospects and Development" took place in the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation and Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation were organizers of the event.

The participants of the conference were State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Grigory Rapota, Russian Presidential Adviser Sergei Glaziev, Head of the Russian Federal Customs Service Andrei Belyaninov, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Evgeny Bazhanov, Member of the Board (Minister) of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tatyana Valovaya. At the invitation of the Chairman of the Eurasian Business Council Oleg Soskovets, ACIG experts also took part in the Conference.

Topical issues, discussed at the Conference, included development of Customs Union and Common Economic Space and prospects of deepening integration processes in economic, political and social spheres.

In their report, ACIG experts positively estimated the actions of heads of States and governments, who gradually augmented efforts on implementation of the provisions of the Declaration on Eurasian economic integration, adopted on November 18, 2011 at the summit of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council by the Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Background Information:
Declaration on Eurasian economic integration is a roadmap of integration processes aimed at creating the Eurasian Economic Union, which will be based on the Customs Union and common economic space among the three countries, by January 01, 2015.
