Alliance Consulting Investment Group organized a round table “Tendencies of Innovative Sustainable Development of High Technology Sectors of the Russian Industry in the Nearest Decade.”

A three-day International Conference “Russian and the World: Challenges of the New Decade” took place on 21-23 January 2010. 

The Academy of the National Economy under the Government of the RF, the Institute of Economy in Transition, and the Expert Council under the Governmental Commission for the Enhancement of Sustainability of the Russian Economy acted as organizers of the conference. 

Mau V. A., Rector of the ANE under the Government of the RF, addressed the participants on the opening day of the conference mentioning that the forum is dedicated to the memory of E. T. Gaydar, the Russian economist.

The conference work was opened by the reports of I.I. Shuvalov, First Deputy of the Chairman of the Government of the RF, E.S. Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development of the RF, and G.O. Gref, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of the RF. 

On the first day of its work the conference continued in the form of Round Tables after the plenary session.

Alliance Consulting Investment Group acted as an organizer of a round table – “Tendencies of Innovative Sustainable Development of High Technology Sectors of the Russian Industry in the Nearest Decade.”

The round table work was held by S.A. Naumov, Secretary of State – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF and A.Yu. Kuzmichyov, Managing Partner of  Alliance Consulting Investment Group. S.A. Naumov stated the main purposes and targets of the round table and offered the reporters and participants to start an active discussion during his opening speech.

The reports were presented by the following speakers:

Yu.A. Udaltsov, director for the innovative development, member of the Board of the State Corporation “Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (ROSNANO)”. The sources of occurrence of technological innovations and conditions that would promote their appearance were analyzed in the report. The considerable part of the speech was devoted to the prospects and problems of innovative development in the major industrial companies and state corporations.

A.G. Belova, deputy director general, director for strategy and corporate development of the OJSC “CUEK” presented a report on the creation of conditions necessary to ensure technological modernization and innovational development of coal and energy sectors.

M.E. Kuznetsov, director general of the Center for Corporate Development of the Association of Independent Directors. The topic of his report of “The Role of the Board of Directors in the Formation of Innovative Climate in the Russian Companies.”

A.M. Biryukov, President of “YAROVIT” holding presented one of the innovative projects of “Yarovit” holding.

A.A. Aniskevich, member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Committee for the strategy of the OJSC “YAROVIT MOTORS” devoted his report to the issues of modernization as such. In his presentation he showed the current economical situation as one of the stages of development and transition to a new type of economy, emphasizing the unacceptability of the attempts to recover the dying industries and technologies.

Yu.A. Vinogradov, Vice-President of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE). The subject of his report was the importance of the social policy of a company for its sustainable development.

The following people also took part in the work of the round table: I. Samson, professeur a l'Universite Pierre Mendes France, the leading research assistant of the European Institute; V.G. Zinov, candidate of engineering sciences, associate professor; Dean of the faculty of innovation and technology business; A.S. Galushka, First Vice-President of the Self-Regulatory Organization “National Board of Specialist-Appraisers.” 

It should be stated that the urgency and importance of the issues discussed within the round table was confirmed by the common nature of the plenary sessions that had been held on the closing day of the Conference.

The plenary discussion on “The Time for Innovations” of the 23rd was opened by Mau V.A., the Rector of the ANE under the Government of the RF and Yu.A. Udaltsov, director for the innovative development, member of the Board of the State Corporation “Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (ROSNANO).” The evening’s plenary discussions were held simultaneously on three areas. The main points of the discussion on “The Space of Innovations” were defined by S.E. Naryshkin, Head of the Administration of the President of the RF.  

After summing up the results of the round table within the conference, publications of expert opinions and projects of working programs will be prepared. For the further discussion, they will be delivered to the RF state authorities’ bodies, business and scientific community.
