Member of the Board of ACIG Group of Companies Aleksandr Plakida Awards Winners of Global Management Challenge National Finale

On March 29, the National Finale of the All-Russian Strategy and Business Management Championship Global Management Challenge took place at the Moscow Exchange.

Global Management Challenge is the largest strategy and management simulation competition in the world based on an integrated computer business simulator (game model) imitating a company’s management in the context of global competition (in the conditions of global competence на in the context of global competition).

In GMC, teams run virtual companies with the same starting indices, develop a strategy and a set of management decisions for its implementation competing directly with each other in the economic and market conditions they themselves model.   

The Russian Championship is organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In 2012-2013, the Russian stage became the largest and gathered the highest number of participants: more than 15000 people from 80 Russian regions took part in the competition. The teams were divided into 2 leagues – student and professional. 4 teams – the winners of the regional finals – reached the National Final: 2 teams from each professional and student league.

The winners of the All-Russian Strategy and Business Management Championship Global Management Challenge in professional league is the team "PK_Azart", in the student league – "Otvazhnye Sinkhuity".

The prize fund of the competition made up 1 million rubles and was divided among the finalist companies. RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, Chairman of Coordination Council of the Center for Advanced Technologies, Advisor to the RANEPA Vice-Rector Dmitry Butashin, Member of ACIG Board Aleksandr Plakida, Head of the Department for Interaction with Regions of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Natalya Bulycheva, Head of Educational Programs Department of RUSNANO JSC Natalya Yablonskene and Head of GMS Russia, Director of the RANEPA Institute of Organizational Development and Strategic Initiatives Vyacheslav Shoptenko awarded he winners of the competition.

The winners will present Russia at the international competition in Bucharest. At the present time, Russia holds the title of the Global Management Challenge world champion.
