The second round of the contest "Pupils for Sustainable Future of Russia" takes place

On February 5, 2014, "Intellectual Contest" – the second round of the contest of innovative projects developed by the pupils of the Moscow general education institutions "Pupils for Sustainable Future of Russia" took place.

As part of the training program the participants had to pass three stages including a test, an intellectual auction and a case study. Following these three stages, out of 150 pupils only 36 best ones were selected to the final round. Deputy Director of the ACIG HR Consulting Department, the author of the education program Tatyana Pavilova noted the importance of such tests for senior schoolchildren regarding preparation for successful Unified State Examination. "The sustainable future strategy means harmonious development of the three key areas of knowledge: economic, social and environmental – we have chosen them as the topics for the Contest", Tatyana Pavilova said. Senior HR Specialist of Unilever Elena Dolya told the participants about the key areas of the company’s business. The expert said that one of the key vectors is organization of non-waste production, therefore the topic "WALL-E or Simple Ways to Make the Urban Space Clean" proposed by Unilever is aimed at solving environmental problems of the megapolises.  

The representatives of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, ACIG Group of Companies and Unilever addressed the participants of the contest. Deputy Director of the RANEPA’s Center for Intensive Training and Professional Orientation Maria Lopatkina noted that the contest "Pupils for Sustainable Future of Russia" is held for the first time. "You are the pioneers of a new track in our work. I wish that your participation in the Contest became a new stage for implementation of your ideas, and furthermore, sustainable development of our country," Ms Lopatkina said. In his turn, the Member of the ACIG Board Aleksei Shipov emphasized the crucial role of a well-prepared educational program. "For the Contest participants this is a unique chance to experience teamwork and develop their own projects," the expert commented.

The key task of the Contest is to create favourable conditions for professional self-identification of senior students of the Moscow schools.

The organizers of the contest "Pupils for Sustainable Future of Russia" are the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the city of Moscow, the RANEPA and ACIG Group of Companies. Unilever is the general partner of the event.
